VENUE: Museum of Contemporary Art Australia

The MCA hosts a weekend of access-focused talks, films and workshops, with a free 2-day program bringing artists and access partners together with the public.

About

This free 2-day festival at the Museum of Contemporary Art celebrates inclusivity and diversity, and features events with some key participants of The Big Anxiety 2019.

Project Art Works – the UK’s leading artist-led organisation working with children and young adults with complex support needs – present a free collaborative drawing workshop for people of all ages and abilities. Starting with a series of huge blank paper banners, this installation will come to life with drawings and paintings made by participants over the two days.

Visitors also have the opportunity to view and respond to Project Art Works’ new film, Illuminating the Wilderness, with a hands-on drawing workshop. Just like the film, these collaborative workshops aim to illuminate and break down the practical and social barriers faced by neurodiverse people in day-to-day-life

See the MCA website for more details of Art is for Everyone, including tours for those with access needs, opportunities to meet Guide Dogs and learn more about how they help those with sight loss, and much more.
